Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of TrimScope. By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any TrimScope service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Overview
TrimScope is a renovation decision and approval tracking platform. It helps users organize renovation projects, rooms, selections, product links, budgets, notes, delivery dates, approvals, change requests, and project collaboration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use TrimScope. By using TrimScope on behalf of a company, organization, contractor, designer, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Workspaces and projects
Users may create workspaces, projects, rooms, selections, notes, product links, budgets, invite links, approvals, and related project content. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of content submitted to TrimScope.
5. Collaboration and invites
TrimScope allows users to invite others to view or participate in projects. You are responsible for inviting the correct people and assigning appropriate access. Invited users may be able to view project content and take actions such as approving, rejecting, or requesting changes to selections, depending on their role.
6. Not professional construction, legal, or financial advice
TrimScope is an organizational software tool. TrimScope does not provide construction, design, engineering, architectural, legal, accounting, tax, insurance, or financial advice. Users are responsible for verifying product details, measurements, budgets, schedules, code requirements, permits, contractor obligations, and project decisions with qualified professionals.
7. Payments and billing
Paid plans, project passes, and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a paid plan or project pass, you agree to the pricing, billing frequency, and payment terms shown at checkout. Subscription plans may renew automatically unless canceled through the billing portal or other supported billing method.
Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. TrimScope may change pricing or plan features in the future, but changes will not retroactively alter a completed one-time project pass purchase.
8. Free plan and limits
TrimScope may offer a free plan or limited trial. Free features, limits, and availability may change at any time. Current free plan limits may include limited active projects, rooms, and selections. To continue using features beyond free limits, you may need to upgrade to a paid plan.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse TrimScope. You may not use TrimScope to violate laws, infringe rights, upload malicious code, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or reverse engineer the platform, harass others, or store unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive content.
10. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit to TrimScope. You grant TrimScope a limited license to host, store, process, display, transmit, and use your content as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep TrimScope reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as needed for maintenance, security, operational, or business reasons.
12. Termination
You may stop using TrimScope at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for TrimScope or other users, failed to pay required fees, or used the service in a way that could harm the platform.
13. Disclaimers
TrimScope is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrimScope will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost business, construction delays, project cost overruns, or decisions made based on information stored in TrimScope.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users by updating the date on this page or by other reasonable means. Continued use of TrimScope after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
